Open Forum: Envisioning a Future of Sociology in Tourism Studies

We are inviting tourism studies researchers to come together and collectively evaluate the state of society-in-tourism and tourism-in-society research. And ask ourselves, how do we envisage sociology in tourism studies? We will take stock of the work done in the past decades, evaluate the directions we are currently taking, and discuss directions that we ought to take, so as to champion social equality, justice and equity.
