A historical moment is upon us of multiple intersecting crises: war in Europe, pandemic, climate disasters, refugee crises, costs of living increases, mental health crises, widening inequalities, and escalation of violence. All of these have implication/effects on generational relations. Much of the recent research on the effects of crises either take a psychological lens or look specifically at the COVID pandemic. Few look at how multiple intersecting crises affect generational relations and even fewer take a sociological lens to understanding shifts in generational relations, life courses and social reproduction in times of crises. This session will be of interest to those researchers across the world examining crises and how they work and embed in shifting generational relations.
