At a global level, sociology is changing and benefiting from the scholarship that challenges dominant Global North theoretical hegemonies. This session calls for papers that will showcase theoretical, methodological, or empirical scholarship that engage with crises. The idea of crisis is power-laden and raises questions about who defines it and who experiences it. Since political, environment, health and other crises, in all its contested meanings, have become the new normal of the 21st century, we are looking for papers that focus on individual of all genders, group, community, national, or globally focused discussions on this topic.
