Session Type: Oral

In this session we turn attention to a particular set of community relations, those we all share with the non-human members of our planetary home. Animals are, in different contexts, family members, invasive pests, protectors of biological diversity, and iconic symbols. In this session, presenters will lend their analytical lens to a diverse array of human-animal relations and discuss how we manage our human and social interactions with them, and how we incorporate those relations into our sociological imagination.
