The sociology of work does not stand still; it has been revealing more and more new knowledge to humanity. In its development, it not only inevitably penetrates into the research space of other sciences, but also constantly improves, absorbing new methods of collecting and processing information. Interdisciplinarity is becoming one of the features of modern research, while, for example, big data allows to dive deeper into the problem, empirically substantiate certain patterns and relationships. Against this background, the conceptual apparatus is becoming increasingly blurred. Quite often, completely different meanings are hidden behind the same terms, which hinders both scientific communication and the increment of knowledge about the development of society. All this requires an understanding of the theory and methodology of scientific research, the search for common principles and approaches to the analysis of complex social phenomena.
Within the framework of the session, it is proposed to discuss a wide range of issues of the development of sociology of work: from the problems of substantiating theoretical constructs and approaches to the specifics of applying modern research methods and interpreting the results obtained. The synergy of representatives of various scientific schools and national traditions will allow us to form a more holistic view of the existing challenges and opportunities to overcome them.
