Such culture is reflected also in the ways the legal and educational institutions and the different social actors deal with violence against women, helping to produce or reproduce the conditions that underlie such violence.
Thus, in this context, legal and educational systems play an important role in providing instruments aiming to contrast gender-based violence. This session aims to host contributions – based both on theoretical analysis and empirical research – dealing with gender-based violence and the legal and educational instruments to combat it.
We therefore welcome papers that focus on:
- Educational projects and strategies aimed at the construction of non-discriminatory relationships;
- Comparative analyses of the educational strategies to prevent gender-based violence;
- The national and international legal instruments for the prevention of gender-based violence;
- The national and international legal instruments for the protection of the victims of gender-based violence;
- Comparative analyses of the legal experiences in the field of the prevention and contrast of gender-based violence.
