Non-verbal emotional display as a necessary part of social interaction helps in communicating social emotions capable of influencing different social outcomes. Body plays an important role in non-verbal emotional display in communication. Restricted body movements influence both the recognition and production of dynamic and non-verbal emotion and our socialisation. Emotion (as a by product of socialisation) affects and restricts our body movements in both verbal and non-verbal social interaction. Relationships are born, shaped, reshaped, continued and/or discontinued in these ways. It is 'our bodies' with emotion that acquire experience, shape and reshape our thoughts, make us social, asocial or antisocial. Embodied emotions (including some determinant factors like age, sex, gender, economy, race, culture etc.) affect human health, re-socialise, reform and reshape human being. Without the expression of our emotions we are just 'bodies'!

The mind-body connection and/or mind-body dualism ignite this session's discussion to welcome participants to present, express and exchange their thoughts on the embodied emotion, boundaries of bodies and emotions; beyond the boundaries how body and emotion shape each other, bridge the gap between the human world and nature at large, can play their roles to create and recreate conflict and the symphony of harmony. We are seeking papers to look at and bridge the gap between raw experience and synthetic data in understanding the social construction of human body and emotion (shaped and reshaped with the changing social-cultural politics and geopolitics) both as a framework and as a field of study in a post-modern society.
