Art and theory as part of a wide reflexivity has undergone great consideration. Art itself is often underestimated as social phenomenon able to give a contribution to the social construction of coexistence or cohesion of a community. However, in any extreme conditions, art is a crucial means for resistance and relief, there is a social impact of the arts practices in terms of collective identity, and there are different impacts according to the types of artistic expression. Contemporary, critical, and community-based art practices are also forms of social transformation as well as the new forms of Digital arts are artistic expressions with a high community or social impact.
