These panel invite proposals that examine the emotional dimensions of climate change and environmental conflicts, such as climate anxiety, beyond individualised experiences. We welcome studies that:

- examine collective and contagious properties of climate anxiety- theorise the emotional dimensions of social mobilisation and social movements related to climate change and environmental conflicts

- investigate the mental health impacts of performing personal and interpersonal emotions in activists dealing with climate change or with the consequences of neo-extractivism

- reveal how equitably the burden of climate anxiety is managed across generations, occupations, cultures and sexes

- describe how individuals and groups are building hopeful, pessimistic, or fatigued narratives about the future and politics of fair transitions, and whether these efforts inform positive emotion work and climate action

- examine sociological aspects of the emotional dimensions of climate change/environmental conflicts and social movements related to them, as well as the cultural expressions of environmental conflicts.
