Doing Institutional Ethnography: Issues and Innovations II

This session will feature presentations with a methodological focus. Topics might include: bringing an IE perspective to collaborative research with community groups and non-IE research teams; advocating for IE research in institutional ethics review processes; handling issues that arise during IE research in the field; new ways of generating and analyzing data in IE research; new ways to share IE analysis with different audiences. We invite accounts of successful strategies as well as reflections on attempts that didn’t quite go as hoped, along with discussion of continuing, unresolved methodological issues.
