Confronting the dragons of destruction: Environmental confrontations with capitalism and colonialism.

Many dialogues regarding social response options to our climatological and ecological crises avoid contending with the proverbial elephants in the room: those formidable social structures that continue to justify, or even incentivize, ecological irresponsibility: the over-exploitation of ecological systems. Presenters in this session confront these dragons of destruction head on, with studies that focus on, for example, the role of banks and corporations, privatization, colonization and neoliberalism, among other subjects.
