Professional work is constantly changing, shaped by research, technological change, organizational change, and changes within the environments where professionals work (among other trends). Papers in this session will examine aspects of professional work. They may, for instance, examine professionals’ experiences of working, the changing structure and environments for professional work, and/or the organizational contexts in which professionals work. They also may touch on managerial systems and structures, rationalization, and changing social contexts on professional workers, as well as the implications of working for professionals' health and well-being.
