Language: English
Session Type: Oral
This session explores the development, use, and critical evaluation of gender equality indicators in contemporary societies. Contributions may address methodological challenges, comparative perspectives, policy implications, and the role of social indicators in capturing multidimensional aspects of gender inequality across domains such as work, education, health, political participation, family life, and digital inclusion. The session welcomes both theoretical and empirical papers, with particular attention to innovative measurement approaches, cross-national analyses, and the relationship between indicators, public policies, and social change. The aim is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on how social indicators can better reflect evolving gender dynamics and support evidence-based policymaking.
