Theorising Health In Troubled Times

Abstract Submissions Closed

RC15 Sociology of Health (host committee)

Language: English

Session Type: Oral

Disruption and dissention are salient features of the contemporary world. Likewise, health (in its widest sense), has become a major dimension of inequality and one which demands adept and bold reconceptualisation. This session seeks papers offering the potential for new avenues of social thought, new or reconfigured concepts, and/or theoretical frameworks with the potential for opening up the 'health space' for researchers and scholars disatisfied with current offerings but continuing to strive toward meaningful and insightful future research.
