Abstract Submissions Closed

RC08 History of Sociology (host committee)
RC14 Sociology of Communication, Knowledge and Culture

Language: English

Session Type: Oral

The development of sociological theory globally, across national boundaries, continues to evolve historically, as immigrant scholars cross boundaries and introduce new themes stimulate novel substantive work and transform the productivity of existing theory groups. This session seeks proposals that build on Mannheim's sociology of knowledge in demonstrating the advancement of sociological theory through contextual social factors that modify the creative process.
