Abstract Submissions Closed

RC51 Sociocybernetics (host committee)
RC16 Sociological Theory

Language: English

Session Type: Oral

Sociological thinking is a well-established research issue in the host country of the XXI ISA World Congress. This Congress presents us with a wonderful opportunity to deepen our engagement with Korean sociologists, and we are going to have a dialogue with each other in cooperation with the Korean Society for Social Theory (KSST) in this special session. KSST is an academic society established in 2001, which puts importance on sociological thinking in common with RC51 and RC16. This exchange and mutual learning are of course not limited to this session and will hopefully take place in all the other sessions too.

In this session we welcome submissions from Korean sociologists for contributions dealing with the upgrading of sociological thinking. However, this session is not only open to Korean scholars, but also to researchers who are interested in this issue and in the dialogue with Korean scholars.
