Just transition is the term used to describe the transition to a climate-neutral economy while securing the future and livelihoods of workers and their communities. A Just Transition to a climate-neutral economy aims at providing better jobs, social protection, training opportunities, and improved job security for all workers affected by global warming and climate change policies. However, those engaged in cooperatives and social economy enterprises, whereby inclusion and participation are key organizational dimensions, present a sound way to building autarchy energizing autopoietic dynamics of local identity leading to sustainability. We seek paper contributions on social economy's leading role in leading to a Just Transition in Communities addressing by “localization” the issues of global warming, digitalization, and global competition.
