Language: English

Session Type: Oral

This session invites papers that take interest in the interconnections of home, migrations and digitization. It uses these interconnections to think about the character of contemporary forms of solidarity. The session asks whether given migrations and digitization the experience of home has come to mean domain for the questioning of solidarity. The session conceives of home in broader terms that include but are not limited to the experience of the state as home. Consequently, while it is open to reflections that imagine home in relation to the experience of the state, it is equally open to imaginations of home outside of the state as home. It seeks to use these experiences of home to invite reflections on solidarity that express themselves in relation to the contemporary experiences of migration and digitization.
