Language: English

Session Type: Oral

Human beings are expressive, and art has accompanied humanity's development for millions of years. In this context, we explore the connection between artworks, emotions, and the collective emotional consequences of technological changes of our times. This session will present and discuss how and why human beings continue to express collective emotions through art and how artworks can be a social trigger of contemporary silenced emotions, collective trauma, and anxiety. The session will take a multi-paradigm perspective, using also case studies to support its discussion.
