Spatial demography provides valuable approaches to understanding how population trends vary across regions. In this session, we will look at how these methods can address contemporary sociological questions and inform real-world policy decisions. We welcome papers that investigate spatial patterns in key demographic areas, including changes in fertility, variations in mortality, migration, and local labor markets. We are particularly interested in studies that use census microdata, open-source tools, and spatial analysis to provide actionable insights for regional planning, resource management, and social policy. Our goal is to unite researchers to share findings and methodologies that effectively connect demographic data with pressing policy needs.
