Family Law: Realities behind the Law

This session proposes exploring family law systems behind the letter of the law. It aims to highlight the dynamics of family law, given its direct relation to societal changes. Hence, the session welcomes papers that address, for example, new forms of family configurations not yet recognized by the law, forms of dispute resolution implemented by minority groups that have not yet been legitimized by the law, and other configurations that provide evidence of a potential need for change in the legal system.
