Tuning the emotions: The clinica social in Mangueira Hill

“Afinando as Emoções" or “tuning the emotions" is the name of the clinic social service that has as main objective the psychoanalytic treatment of children and young people who attend the social-cultural projects developed at the Cartola Cultural Centre which is an NGO founded in 2001 from the desire to preserve the work of Cartola, whose mission is to promote citizenship through education and culture, motivating the youth of Mangueira Hill and surrounding areas to identify socio-cultural values ​​of their community, through workshops and social and educational events. Choosing the CCC as socio-cultural territory, based on concepts such as hope, novun, vulnerability, culture, among others, is to propose an understanding of the field from the conceptual basis which includes the study of culture as much as other fields of knowledge, which take as their object the man and his interpersonal relations. In this paper, studies of psychoanalysis and culture shape the conceptual basis for analysis of the field investigation, but cautioned that it is not a comparison between the fields of knowledge of psychoanalysis and cultural studies. Thinking in this universe as a territory of hope, but warned that there is a field that would constitute a romantic place, as in force in the social imaginary, but rather that it is worth taking a gamble of a socio-cultural space that provides opportunities for social interaction, mediated art and culture, not romanticized as a place of drives and stabilizer. The proposed clinical care of the "Tuning the emotions” does not flinch in the face of contemporary challenges experienced by this population that is excluded from the ranks, such as poor, slum dwellers, black, homeless, marginalized populations, ie, deviates the focus of a social systemic issue, not ignore it, for a speech from a delimited praxis built next to this population assisted.
