The following article aims to show a picture of Brazilian public policy on natural disasters.

From the point of view of sociology and a accurate research, this review is going to analize the most frequent natural disasters in Brazil, its risks and impacts in society, and finally verify which public policy are adopted to reduce the effects of natural disasters.
