This research rescues the narrative of the students of Communication and Journalism, in an interpretative and descriptive effort of their culture, from the context and relationships analysis at the school, as well as professional values internalized during university education, from a phenomenological approach.

The research main objective focuses on knowledge and analysis of the student´s university education of Communication and Journalism at FES (Higher Studies Faculty) Aragon UNAM and the presence of the media in the conformation of professional values, which will enable the identification of a student profile in a professional reality, and reflect on if the knowledge about the values acquired at the university corresponds to the social needs and the expectations of the students. The questions that guided the research were: How important is the school in shaping the professional values of Communication and Journalism students? What values and models the student identifies and internalizes from the media? What relation keeps the labor expectation from the students with the professional values that are taking shape at the university?
