NANOTECHNOLOGY, SOCIAL JUSTICE AND THE ENVIRONMENT: THE BRAZILIAN CASE OF THE DEVELOPMENTE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY 2001-2011

The paper intend to discuss the relationship between the Brazilian development of nanotechnology ,  the social justice and environment for the period 2001 to 2011. First, the actions from federal   govern for the Brazilian development of nanotechnology will be presented.  Second, what happens with the social justice and the environment  presents in these actions will be analyzed  . Third, the process of the public engagement made by the Brazilian Research Network in Nanotechnology, Society and Environment – RENANOSOMA – will be showed and also their relationship with the social justice and environment.  Finally, some preliminary conclusion will be presented  about the Brazilian Development in nanotechnology analyzing if it will increase or decrease the Brazilian social injustice and will modify the actual modal of the appropriation of the environment.
