The principal goal of this session is to consider the public opinion about the future at the local level. This subject will be discussed by five main topics:

  • Do political elite and different groups of interests at the local level have the same picture of the future? 
  • How does public opinion about the future influence daily routines and long-term collective lives?
  • What is the impact of the assumptions and aspirations about the future on the social and political situation at the local level?
  • What are the cross-cultural relations of local and global public opinion about the future? 
  • What is the representation by the local public opinion of the struggles of the local affinity groups, economic and political actors for a better world?
