Promoting Inclusivity in Schools: The Role of Family Counseling
Within this framework, family counseling emerges as a practical intervention tool with strategic significance for managing tension dynamics and promoting social love, understood as the construction of relationships grounded in respect, empathy, and shared responsibility. Contributions from various authors on the conceptualization of social love offer an invaluable model for understanding how family counseling can become an effective means of fostering social love within educational institutions.
Applied to the educational context, social love calls for the creation of an environment where each interaction is marked by attentiveness and respect toward the other, thus contributing to the establishment of a space for intercultural and interfaith coexistence and dialogue. The implementation of family counseling interventions in educational institutions, supported by action-research methodologies and evidence-based approaches, enables the pragmatic addressing of cultural and religious diversity challenges. This study examines how family counseling, in synergy with social love, can orient educational practices toward an inclusive model, characterized by profound sensitivity toward cultural differences and a collective responsibility that fosters a harmonious and inclusive school environment, where empathy and mutual respect form the cornerstone of the educational system.
