Morocco, like other global southern countries, is an emerging soft power in North Africa that changes and progresses rapidly. Of course, economic growth and development are not the only things in which Morocco is evolving but also its society and especially Moroccan youth. In a changing world, lately, Moroccan youth started new ways of political reforms through digital platforms and social media like Podcasts, seeking alternatives to the classical political platforms that are often connected with Political parties and NGOs and looking for a clearer and more comfortable arena to connect and discuss politics easily and freely. Indeed, this opens the door for several questions on how digital storytelling mainly podcasts influences Moroccan youth to understand politics differently. Therefore, how do podcasts serve as a platform for political discourse among Moroccan youth? In addition, what impact do podcasts have on youth political engagement and activism in Morocco? This study investigates the role of podcasts in shaping political discourse among Moroccan youth, highlighting how this emerging medium serves as a platform for diverse voices and critical discussions on social and political issues. As podcasts gain popularity in Morocco, they provide an accessible and engaging format for young people to explore topics such as activism, social justice, political tensions, socio-economic crisis and civic engagement by analysing key podcasts, including “Touil Talks”, “I3lam TV”, “The Moroccan Dream” and others. This study emphasises the potential of digital storytelling to foster community dialogue, educate listeners, and amplify marginalised perspectives. Furthermore, the presentation will also explore the impact of podcasts on youth political participation, illustrating how they empower a new generation of activists and contribute to the evolving landscape of political engagement in Morocco.
