Hegemonic mapping practices are conducive for ecological destruction and genocide. Indigenous spatial representations and mapping practices must be explored to correct the state of geography and cartography, with the aim of producing spatial-representation matrices which do not lend themselves to territorial thinking. Andean geometry based on counter-hegemonic axioms materialize sustainable spaces, and marginalize territorial thought. Such cartographic practices must be explored and applied as part of any sustainable paradigm. Building on Indigenous Peruvian perceptions of space, this paper argues the role or cartography as a vector of social love.
