This session focuses on the challenges artificial intelligence (AI) poses to the world of work, debating how AI can quickly transform the nature of some professions, for example, social scientist work and others, and its implications for AI job displacement, and Re-Skilling. AI-driven technologies, such as machine learning and predictive analytics, offer powerful tools for analyzing large datasets including quantitative and qualitative data, revealing patterns, and emergent categories analysis. However, these advancements come with significant challenges. AI's rapid advancement has introduced new complexities in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, pushing workers to adapt and rethink their strategies. These complexities cannot be considered neutral in terms of employment and skills. Therefore, some questions to be addressed in this session are related to the following main issues: In terms of employment, to what extent work and employment is vulnerable to AI-driven automation?
