We invite poster submissions for a session focusing on the intricate relationship between individuals and society, emphasizing empirical contributions that explore the interplay between social context and subjectivity. This session seeks to highlight innovative research that examines how societal structures, cultural norms, and social environments shape individual experiences, identities, and behaviors.

We welcome submissions that employ a variety of empirical methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches. Research topics may include, but are not limited to, the influence of social institutions on personal identity, the role of community and social networks in shaping individual behavior, the impact of social inequalities on subjective well-being, and the ways in which cultural contexts influence personal values and perceptions. We are particularly interested in studies that provide new insights into how individuals navigate and negotiate their social worlds, as well as research that explores the reciprocal effects between individual agency and social structure.
