In the past, many labor activists viewed environmental campaigns are seen as undermining job creation, as new technologies often require reorganized production  processes. Debates within unions are changing rapidly, however, as many unions have learned to incorporate environmental concerns in their campaigns. This presentation describes some successful red-green alliances in Latin America, exploring the implications for labor strategies more broadly.
