This session focuses on understanding the role of digital technologies, cultural activities and info-communication Intelligence as part of every-day life and how digital activities and info-communication technologies contribute to the development of digital policy, social relationship, cultural management, economy, democracy and the concept of digital power. ‘Digital Socio-Culture’ (DSC) is a wider term in its scope, addressing not only the internet of digital culture, social relationship, socio-cultural activities and cultural power but also the impact of info-communication ecosystem i.e. digital media, mobile applications, digital currency, online communities, info-communication public sphere, digital humanities etc. and artificial intelligence applications and devices that have emerged since the first decade of the twenty-first century. Although the ‘Digital Socio-Culture’ term has not yet fully entered the cultural lexicon, sociologists have engaged in research related to the digital socio-cultural activities, digital sociology, digital culture and info-communication power by addressing many socio-cultural issues relating to the sociology of the internet, online communities, online universities, cyberspace, digital-identities, digital democracy, digital power and social media. ‘Digital Socio-Culture’  and ‘Info-Communication Intelligence’  encapsulate the concern of the use of the term ‘digital’, such as digital sociology, digital anthropology, digital culture and digital policy. In general, the coverage of conference session includes material on the theoretical and practical aspects of the following subjects:

  • Digital Sociology, Technology, Communication and Management: social media, empowerment, regulation and digital policy 
  • Digital Culture and Info-Communication Issues: smart city, wearable technologies, digital Journalism, Artificial Intelligence and digital currency.
