The influence of Microfinance on business development
Microcredit is an innovation Muhammad Yunus developed with the aim to give entrepreneurs access to financial resources. It gives possibility to people to borrow an amount of money to invest in income-generating business activities that are context related. It is argued that access to microfinance can facilitate poverty reduction and contribute to economic and social development.
Research shows that Microfinance leads to sharing risk and to financing projects in social enterprises, cooperative businesses, and associations. It provides people with social networks, enhances their independence, empowers them, and improves the quality of their lives by developing sustainable business and generating income.
We ask for studies on theoretical and empirical issues in different countries.
The following questions can be interesting to discuss:
- How are microfinances organised in different countries?
- What problems and challenges do they face?
- How do they affect business development?
- Comparative studies on the influence of microfinance on business development
