Objective and Research Questions: This study aims to analyze and compare labor market segmentation in Spain, Bolivia, and Brazil, focusing on the role of education, gender, and ethnicity in shaping labor market outcomes. The key research questions are: How do these factors influence labor market segmentation? What similarities and differences can be identified across the three countries?
Methodology: A prior quantitative approach is applied using national survey data (EPA, ECE, PNADC) and the Structural and Articulated Typology methodology, based on Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) combined with hierarchical clustering.
Main Results: Preliminary results reveal significant gender and ethnic disparities across the three countries, with more pronounced racial segregation in Brazil and greater gender segmentation in Spain and Bolivia.
Contribution: This work contributes to the session on social inequalities by providing a comparative analysis using composite indicators, helping to highlight structural differences and the role of intersecting social factors in labor markets.
