Intersectional Research across the Disciplines
Language: English
Critical intersectional scholarship enhances researchers’ and scholar-activists’ ability to open novel research frontiers. Advancing innovative and multidisciplinary approaches is an invaluable tool scholars and researchers undertake in conducting meaningful intersectional research. Its empirical findings will further benefit practitioners tasked with designing intersectional policy. Presentations will examine methodological questions concerning innovative research approaches, identify differences from traditional methodologies, and ways to overcome the common challenges faced when carrying out intersectional research. Panelists are contributors to the Research Handbook on Intersectionality edited by Mary Romero, published in Elgar 2023 Sociology Series. Panelists are sociologists engaged in critical interdisciplinary projects, such as critical studies of gender, sexuality, indigenous, citizenship, and social justice and community studies.
