Tuesday, 8 July 2025: 11:00-12:45
Location: FSE007 (Faculty of Education Sciences (FSE))
RC55 Social Indicators (host committee)

Language: English

The session welcomes contributions that explore and discuss various methodologies used to measure gender equality. Both methodological and applied research are invited, as well as presentations of findings from research projects. The aim is to create an interdisciplinary and international dialogue among scholars, researchers, and practitioners working in sociology, social statistics, and public policy.

Submissions that examine both quantitative and qualitative approaches to measuring gender equality, addressing the challenges and limitations of current measurement techniques, are encouraged. Additionally, innovative perspectives and methodologies in data collection and analysis, considering the intersections between gender and other social factors such as ethnicity, class, age, and sexual orientation, are sought. Presentations that share best practices and successful case studies from international contexts are also welcomed.
